Animals will be set free from death

As I was sitting in front of my computer I heard a big thump. Right away I thought, “Some poor bird probably flew into one of my back windows”. I waited a few minutes to go see what the sound was, because I was typing. I was hoping if it was a bird that it would be OK! Most of the time they are, thank God!
However, as I went to look out my windows I saw an awful sight, at least for me. A larger bird, I think a hawk, had grabbed the defenseless smaller bird that had hit the window, in its claws. I quickly ran for my door to protect the dove but it was too late. The hawk was airborne and flying away. I ran but of course it was useless to save the bird’s life. As I write this I am still feeling bad for that dove and feeling maybe if I would have run out when I heard the thump I could have stopped death.
When I see things like that, which is the normal pattern of this world of death, I am so thankful that Jesus Christ stepped out of eternity and defeated our frightful enemy, death, by His death. Sin brought death into this world, but Jesus’ death for us on a cross brought forgiveness for those sins and eternal life to all who believe in Him.
What an unhappy woman I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is taking me to death? Thanks be to God, who does this through our Lord Jesus Christ!... For the law of the Spirit, which brings us life in union with Christ Jesus, has set me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 7:24- 25 & 8:2 GNT
Jesus' death also means someday in the future, animals will not have to experience the world of death we human set in motion by disobeying God’s one command (Genesis 2 & 3, also Romans 8:18-23).
And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the kid, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them. Also the cow and the bear will graze; Their young will lie down together; And the lion will eat straw like the ox. And the nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den. They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea. Isaiah 11:6-9 NASB®
