Call to God when the trials of life hit

Those of you, who have followed my From Gini’s Heart know I have a cat I love. (Remember the cat and the rattlesnake!) Now, those of you who have cats know they don’t naturally like water, but hate it with a vengeance. Even though ours learned at a young age to endure a bath, she still barely puts up with it, and has that look that says, “This is not the way I want life to be!”
Life is not the way I like it to be at times either. The trials and tribulations of this world can get me down. How about you? However, I must admit my trials are nothing compared to some peoples’. (The pastor in India we support, informed us the other week that seven pastors were jailed for sharing about Jesus. Thank God they have been released.)
So what are we suppose to do when life’s trials hit us? Did you know, James 1 tells us we need to consider trials a positive happening in our life? That’s hard isn’t it?
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. James 1:2 (NLT)
The key to having His joy through trials is to be willing to seek, pray, and call out to Him. When you seek, pray, and call out to God, He hears you and answers, and gives you what you need to survive that trial.
Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,' declares the LORD ...Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' Jeremiah 29:12-14a, 33:-3 NASB®
