Rejoice! Since Jesus rose from the dead, you can too!

On March 13 my dear cousin Karen, closed her eyes to the reality of this world and opened them in eternity. In that moment she was looking at Jesus (whom she has loved for decades) face to face. The effects of cancer that had pervaded her body and caused her to suffer and die were gone. She felt a peace and joy I could never explain to you, because I am bound to the feelings and thoughts of this fallen world. Is she conscious of her life on this earth? You bet she is, because our spirit and soul live on. In other words, what made Karen, Karen, lives on. Does she see and understand what is happening on this earth? The Bible seems to teach this in Luke 16:19-31, Hebrews 11:1-12:2 and Revelations 6:9-11.
Her shell which was her earthly body stayed on this earth, because it was simply a temporary body. Yet someday in the future, Karen and all who have believed in Jesus Christ will experience what Jesus did when He was resurrected that Easter morn. Our old bodies, even if they are only dust at that point in the future, will be called from the grave (life after death) and resurrected instantaneously into an immortal and imperishable body. What type of body does she have now as she waits for hers to be resurrected or revitalized and redecorated (Karen loved to decorate things)? Scripture isn’t clear at all on this, but we do know she is with Jesus, and her family and friends who are already in eternity. She is also more aware and has clearer understanding than was ever possible on this earth. Read 1 Corinthians 13:9-12 & 15:20-57, and 2 Corinthians 5:1-10.
Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection…I have the absolute hope of seeing Karen again…Do you have that hope?
Love and blessings this Easter season,
Gini
